Dr. Jean M. Lim

As a Southern California native, Dr. Lim takes pride in providing personalized care for patients in the community. She has extensive clinical experience in performing comprehensive eye exams, fitting all types of contacts, and co-managing refractive and cataract surgery. She is also certified to treat and manage ocular disease, with a special interest in diagnoses and treatment of Dry Eye Disease. Dr. Lim is passionate about helping her patients look and see their best. To that end, she strives to optimize vision and aesthetics by using the most up-to-date products, equipments and procedures.

Dr. Lim attended Southern California College of Optometry and received a Doctorate of Optometry with Honors in 1997. She received further training in treating eye disease through externships with the VA Hospital-Los Angeles, the Nellis Air Force Base, and The Center for Partially Sighted. Prior to her optometry education, Dr. Lim studied Nutritional Science and received her B.S. degree from UC Berkeley. Her Nutrition background has helped to confirm her belief that a holistic approach is best for patient care. She continues to study the important role of nutrition as it relates to our overall health and is a member of the Ocular Wellness and Nutrition Society.

Dr. Lim's first 10 years of practice were in Irvine until she relocated to San Clemente and took over Seaside Eyecare Optometry in 2009.

Dr. Lim enjoys playing piano, classical music, hiking, reading, volunteering at church, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Allison Coffie

Dr. Coffie has always had a passion for optometry. After having her first eye exam ever as a child, she told her mom that she wanted to be an optometrist when she grew up. Dr. Coffie has now spent over ten years helping people to see better and to have healthier eyes. Every day her passion for the field grows as she enjoys providing individualized care to her patients, takes the time to provide thorough examinations and explanations, and makes suggestions for a healthier future.

Dr. Coffie completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of California, Irvine. After receiving a prestigious scholarship from SUNY Optometry, she relocated to New York City to obtain her Doctorate of Optometry degree and graduated in 2014. She honed her diagnostic skills in ocular disease management and treatment with the very diverse population of New York City. She received extensive ocular disease training at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn and later worked at the University of California, Irvine. She is now licensed by the California State Board of Optometry in the diagnosis of Glaucoma, Cataracts, Macular Degeneration, and Dry Eye Syndrome.

Dr. Coffie thoroughly enjoys examining children, as she whole-heartedly believes all children should have every possible resource to excel in school, which includes proper vision. Dr. Coffie has spent time volunteering at the Blind Children’s Learning Center and has voluntarily conducted vision screenings at elementary schools.

Dr. Coffie was born and raised in Orange County. In her free time she enjoys traveling, hiking, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her husband and her two sons.

Leah, Optician

Like mother, like daughter; Leah is a legacy optician who followed the footsteps of her mother and pursued a career in the optical industry over 20 years ago. Her passion for costuming brings a fashionable eye when selecting new frames. She also enjoys karaoke and working at the renaissance fair.

Maria, optician

Maria has only been in the optical industry for one year but she has quickly fallen in love with helping our patients achieve their best, most fashionable sight as of yet. When she’s not at work,she enjoys reading, live musical theatre, and hanging out with her dog, Polly.
